Banana & Sultana Oat Bars

This morning I fancied making something warm and yummy for breakfast, and I needed a finger food that was soft enough for my son and this was perfect. The best thing about these bars is that they’re so fast to make and the smell of cinnamon in the kitchen is incredible. The perfect Autumn/Winter breakfast, especially when served straight from the oven (once slightly cooled of course!).

10 tbsp Oats
10 tbsp Milk
Handful of Sultanas
1 mashed Banana
2 tsp Cinnamon


  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a square tin with baking paper.
  2. Mix all of the ingredients together and pour the mixture into the tin, ensuring that it is about an inch thick. It will probably only cover half, but this is ok as it won’t run.
  3. Cook for 15-20, then take out and put on a wire rack to cool a little before cutting into rectangles.
