This is a great little dish for both babies, children and adults. It is packed full of flavour, and delicious. I saved quite a bit of time by using a tomato sauce that I had cooked and saved into portions the other night. I also saved some of the meatballs and pasta (without the sauce) for tomorrow’s lunch, and will just add another portion of my frozen sauce in there when I’m ready to serve. To make 5 90ml portions of the sauce, add 1-2 Garlic cloves to a oiled pan, then warm through with 1 small red onion, diced. Add in 1 tsp Mixed Herbs and 1/2 tsp Basil, then add one tin of chopped tomatoes. Reduce and simmer for 1-0-15 minutes. Put into pots and freeze.
I bought ready made meatballs, but I specifically chose ones that have less salt in them for my baby, so just make sure you check! Alternatively just make your own meatballs with beef mince and some herbs.
