Pumpkin Spiced Smoothie

Hi There,

I hope you’re having a lovely day.

This evening I fancied a treat, and was tempted to make something chocolatey, but after looking in the fridge I noticed that I had some canned pumpkin left over from making my pumpkin pancakes earlier in the week. In the spirit of making sure that I use all of my left overs, I decided to whip up this smoothie. It was really delicious and hit the spot, and was the sweet treat I needed without going crazy on sugar. Im going to save some back for my son for his breakfast, as there’s nothing in there that he cant eat (I’ll remove the pumpkin seeds first).

Ingredients:

125g Puréed Pumpkin
1 Banana
3 tbsp Oats
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Ginger
1/4 tsp Allspice
100ml Almond Milk
1 tbsp Maple Syrup (optional)

Method:

  1. Whizz all the ingredients together in a blender, and top with a sprinkle of oats, a sprinkle of pumpkin seeds and a dash of cinnamon.
