Evening everyone. I hope you had a glorious Sunday!
Today we ended up hiking the ‘Hidden Hindhead Trail’ in Surrey, which is part of the Devil’s Punch Bowl. It was so beautiful and quiet there, and it was great to get out of London and breath in some fresh air with some stunning views. The backpack was fantastic, and with some very steep hills we really put it to the test. Our little man didn’t cry or even whimper the whole way around – he was just mesmerised by the woodland, the picturesque views, and the whole world. It’s so lovely to watch him watch the world. I put a couple of pictures up on my insta-stories if you wanted to check them out. You can find me @natalieskitchenstories.
Before we left today I made this oh-so-simple pear and apple compote for my little mans breakfast. It is seriously tasty, with exceptionally little effort. He had it with Greek Yoghurt, but it would also work just as well with porridge, or even over some Weetabix. Raisins would also seriously up this compote, but I never think of adding them as my Husband doesn’t like them. Hopefully my little man does, and then my Husband will be outnumbered as I love them!! I really hope you enjoy this recipe, and you have a fabulous rest of your day.

1 Apple, cubed
