Overnight Chia Oats with Blackberries and Raspberries

These overnight chia oats are the perfect on the go breakfast, that are so tasty you’ll cry when you finish…. honestly! My son actually cried between every mouthful as we couldn’t feed him quick enough, and then he cried for a full 5 minutes when he had finished as he wanted more! If that isn’t a good enough reason to make you want to try this recipe, I don’t know what is.

These chia oats are great for the whole family, although you may want to add a little honey once you have served the adults. Honey is a big no-no for children under one as it can contain bacteria that can grow in the immature gut, and although it is rare, it can be fatal. Also, it is always best to squash any berries before serving, so they do not pose a choking hazard for little ones.

We had this for breakfast and it kept us full until lunch. What is your filling ‘on the go’ breakfast? Please let me know in the comments below.

I hope you enjoy this recipe, and if you give it a go please tell me what you think.
